Looking at two photographs

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

Last weekend my wife and I went with friends to a resort near Dullstroom. I have been there a few times before and the place had lost its visual attraction for me. But , as allways I took my camera along , 'just in case'. I though I would explore the town( photographically speaking), which has grown a lot over the past few years, and has become rather unattractive, not least because of all the advertising boards that are littered like 'kakiebos' all over the place.

Italian Journey, Part One: Isola Bella

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

In May this year my wife and I were very fortunate to spend a week in Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Lake Maggiore is north west of Milan and the second biggest lake in Italy. One of the main tourist attractions are the Borromeo islands. Isola Bella was bought by the Borromeo family in the 16th century and developed over the centuries by their decendants. Originally there were only a few fisherman huts and steep rocks. The Borromeo family transformed this rather barren island into an important assembly of Baroque buildings and gardens that resembles the shape of a boat on the lake.
