Tree

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

Towards the end of last year I made a journey to the old 'Wes Transvaal'. There wasn't much to photograph i.t.o landscapes but on the way back I stopped at this tree.It is a fairly simple image and the reason why I am writing about it is that it is the type of landscape image that I really like.

Urban Decay....

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

On Friday last week I went for a drive down Voortrekker road in Pretoria. Voortrekker road is mostly smaller businesses and lots and lots of used car dealers.

I came across the old Foley and Law building. It used to be a photographic shop and I sometimes went there when I was studying photography in the 80's.

It is quite derelict now and it looks as if the roof has caved in and yet there are a number of dusty cars stored inside. There is a sign with some contact numbers in case anyone might be interested.

South Africans love posing for the camera!

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

I had a photographic assignment recently in Potchefstroom and on the way there we drove through this small town near Carltonville. Initially I saw some interesting buildings to photograph and stopped to make a few images.

Across the road were five young boys on their way to school and probably waiting for a bus or taxi. I walked over, raised my camera to my eye, and immediately they started posing for the camera!

This is what I saw...

Clouds & Cross

A Blog Post by Ivan Muller

One of the great advantages of always carrying a camera with me is that when opportunity presents itself, I am ready.
